Our 300-Hour RYT teacher certification program is called Embody Mastery, an advanced study for 200-Hour-certified teachers from any tradition. Embody Mastery is a 10-month program that provides you with an opportunity to build upon the material introduced in your 200-Hour teacher training program and integrate what you’ve learned through practical application in the classroom, as well as support the development of your individual voice, style and leadership skills as a yoga teacher. Through a combination of classroom sessions, workshops and apprenticeships with senior trainers and expert guest instructors, you will refine your teaching and leadership skills, identify areas of expertise, and set the foundation for fully incorporating yoga into your life path of mastery. This 300-hour professional teacher certification program comprises 300 hours of Yoga Alliance-approved content that, when combined with your 200-Hour training, delivers a comprehensive and advanced 500-Hour certification in Power Vinyasa Yoga.
MBody Yoga offers a cohesive, multi-specialist approach to teacher training that blends the best of the Yoga tradition from the East and West. Our faculty is comprised of highly trained, experienced inspiring professionals with a profound understanding of Yoga’s transformative power.
Our approach to the 300-hour teacher training involves a blending of the three strands of the Krishnamacharya lineage of Eastern Yoga augmented by the contemporary Westernized Teachings of Baron Baptiste. From the Krishnamacharya lineage, we get the Eastern foundational yoga practices of: Ashtanga, Iyengar and Desikachar. Essentially, Ashtanga provides us with the methodology that incorporates heat and flow. Iyengar provides us with the methodology of precise anatomical and physical instructions to teaching to the body. Desikachar provides us with the methodology that the practice should fit and adapt to the practitioner’s changing needs to get the most therapeutic benefit. Baptiste Power Yoga provides us with the methodology of the three aforementioned practices blended into one Westernized and transformative approach to teaching powerfully to the body, mind and spirit.
Our programs emphasize a student’s personal practice as the source for their teaching and include a comprehensive study of the techniques and mechanics of fundamental yoga postures, as well as the tools necessary to teach and inspire others. To deepen their education, students will also study functional anatomy and physiology; explore Yoga’s philosophical underpinnings; practice meditation and pranayama; engage in the practice SEVA (service); and explore mastery in the form of leadership development.
Applications for our teacher training programs are individually reviewed. Due to the structure and intensity of our teacher training programs, enrollment is very limited. We accept last-minute applications if there is space in the program. The above form will trigger an automated email that sends you your application and redirects you to the full application so you may continue it now if you like. Submitting your application indicates that you have read, understand and agree to all of the requirements for the training. You will hear back from us within two weeks. If you have not heard from us after two weeks, please call (904) 565-1005.
Upon acceptance to the program, we will contact you via email. Please note: Applications will not be reviewed without an application payment. If you are not accepted to the program, your application fee will be refunded in full.
For our 300-Hour program, all you have to do is start and complete the application process. The form to do start your application is located on this page (above this section). We will review your application and get back to you with our response. The application review process normally takes between 1-2 weeks. There is a $500.00 application fee required in order for us to review your application. It is non-refundable if you are accepted into the program. It is refundable, if you are not.

What is the Yoga Alliance?
Yoga Alliance is an organization that was started in 1999 as a way to create nationally recognized standards for yoga teachers and yoga teacher trainings in the US. More and more yoga studios across the country are requiring their teachers to register with the Yoga Alliance, either at the 200-Hour or 300-Hour level. Yoga Alliance registration, however, is not a legal requirement for teaching yoga.
Currently, there are no legal certification requirements to be a yoga teacher. The MBody Yoga Academy Trainings are approved at the Yoga Alliance 200-Hour and 300-Hour level in the United States. MBody Yoga Academy trainings have a 4.5 out of 5-star Yoga Alliance rating based on past training participants.
Is the MBody Yoga Academy Teacher Training qualification recognized around the world?
Yes! The MBody Yoga Academy Teacher Training and School is globally recognized and respected which is why we have over 600 graduates. Our students come from all over the U.S. to take our training and to bring the knowledge back home to their own communities.
What is the process for teaching at an MBody Yoga studio?
MBody Yoga Academy seeks a diverse, committed, and well-trained faculty who uphold our high standard of quality for safe, effective, and accessible teaching in the field of yoga. The process to teach at MBody Yoga starts with joining our Teacher Mentorship Program. This program is available to you at no charge. In these sessions you will receive coaching and support from a Mentor (senior MBody teacher) as well as give feedback and support to your fellow participants. Once your Mentor believes you are ready to move on, you will audition with other MBody Yoga Teachers and Managers. Once you complete our audition process and are approved to teach, you will be placed on our schedule to teach a Community Class.
You will join our Community Class rotation which is held on Saturdays at 4:00p and is open to the public. A Mentor will join you at each class. You will also be eligible to substitute classes until a class becomes available for you. Please note that being brought on as a teacher at MBody Yoga, or at any institution, is not only a matter of completing a training, but of the right teaching fit for that studio as well as the availability of openings on the schedule. It is never guaranteed.

I was introduced to Yoga by a persistent longtime friend who insisted “please try yoga you will love it!” Stuck in the idea that yoga is not for “every body”, I was reluctant but enrolled in a intro class in October of 2012 and my life has never been the same.
The first night of class, I was told “this practice will change your life” and no truer words have been spoken. After a year and a half practicing, I was urged to consider teacher training and again reluctantly (you would think I would have learned by now) went for it. I then attended level one with Baron Baptiste and have just completed my 300 hr training at Mbody. I am a certified 500 hour yoga teacher, and this all happened after turning 50.
I feel that I have found my true self and am finally comfortable in body through practicing and teaching yoga. To teach and light up the faces and eyes of fellow human beings is the most rewarding experience I could have ever imagined. From meditation to breath and asana, yoga has opened a whole new world for me by keeping me present and “loving the process” of life. I look forward to continuing my journey teaching and enriching the lives of others through the practice of yoga.

I started my yoga journey in May 2012 when my husband asked me to join him for a class, so I did and loved it! I signed up for a 30 for $30 Groupon. I got lazy and soon realized I needed some motivation so I entered the March madness contest (2013) with a friend and we won! I began my free month and stayed with it! In August I wanted to do more with MBody and my community, so I became an Ambassador for the studio.
I was also beginning a battle with infertility and struggling with where my career was, at this point in my life, so I entered the 40 days to a Personal Revolution where I realized that my mat and my life were mirroring one another. After that program, I wanted more! More, self discovery, more inquiry, more yoga, more community and more break-throughs!
I approached Dawn in January of 2014 and inquired about the teacher training; she led me to the 200 YTT that started that month. In August 2014 I became a 200 RYT. In February 2016 I completed the 300 hr Embody Mastery program and became a 500 RYT.
Yoga provided me with a fun and safe place to not only receive a physical workout, but a mental one as well. This community has helped build a powerful practice, lifetime friends, a community that I am passionate about and encourage others to join and share. Besides Baptiste Power

Amy’s life path led her to yoga back in 2008, when she began practicing it as a cross-train to her race training after a colleague opened her up to it. As she walked into her very first class, she knew she was in the right place! As the instructor began calling poses, and the class flowed in an orchestrated physical symphony, she was awed at the harmony, sweat, and rigor! From that moment, Amy was instantly addicted! She joined a studio and began practicing regularly. As a result, the poses began to “work” her. She found a plethora of cathartic healing, heightened awareness, and woke up to the world around her! Her passion is to help others find the gifts they need to wake up and show up in their own lives.

RYT 200, MBody Yoga Teacher Certification Program
I took my first yoga class at Mbody on June 12, 2012. A friend had invited me a few weeks prior to that, but I put him off because I was intimidated. I had some preconceived notions of yoga studios and didn’t think it was for me. I traveled to CA to visit family and my sister-in-law invited me to her yoga studio. I took that as a sign – I had to try it. From that first class I was hooked! I walked out drenched in sweat feeling completely invigorated and so alive! Two days after I returned home, I took my first class at Mbody and I am so grateful I did! I found a community of people (teachers and students alike) who accept, encourage, support and challenge me every time I step into the studio.
The physical benefits of my yoga practice, increased flexibility, stronger muscles, and improved balance were expected but I’m also learning that my body is capable of doing things I never imagined!!! What I did not expect was how a regular practice would benefit me off my mat as well. I’m learning to be more flexible and balanced in my life – I’m learning to breathe more and react less – I am learning to let go of self doubt and realize that I am capable of so much more than I’ve ever imagined.
As a graduate of Mbody’s 100 hour and 200 hour teacher training programs I am so excited to share some of what I’ve learned from this amazing practice with others and to witness their growth. As an instructor, my goal is to create an atmosphere where students feel safe to learn and progress at their own pace – a place where they feel accepted, challenged, encouraged, and supported in their journey through this practice – a place to discover things about themselves that they never imagined.

After attending a hands-on assisting workshop in the Spring of 2014, Amanda began assisting yoga classes regularly and decided to take the next step by getting her 200-hour teacher certification. She graduated in January 2015 and completed the Art of Assisting workshop in December 2014. Amanda is a graduate of the University of North Florida with a degree in Finance. Maria began her yoga practice in high school with her best friend whose father was an Ashtanga yoga teacher. Throughout college and her five years living in Southeast Asia, Maria continued to practice many different styles of yoga and found the introspection and reflection through the movement of body and breath to be incredibly healing. Maria was introduced to Mbody through a donation based class at a local studio lead by an Mbody teacher. Completely enthralled with the rhythm and flow of the class, she then found herself at her first heated ninety minute practice at Mbody’s Neptune Beach studio. Maria knew she was at home with the sweat, spirit and energy of the studio and became a regular practitioner.
Maria completed Mbody’s Teacher Certification Program in October 2010 and is dedicated to her yoga practice, self-growth and development as a teacher and as a healthy balanced individual with a desire to give back to her community. Maria also works in early childhood education and social services and would like to connect the world of yoga and healing with people of all socioeconomic brackets; self-empowerment is something yoga offers and communities need. RYT 500, MBody Yoga Teacher Certification Program
It was through her private music instructor that Chelsea came to find and love yoga. Her first yoga class that she took was called yoga for musicians. She was hooked and began to notice several benefits to having a regular yoga practice. She noticed a sense of well being and calmness in herself. Her back pain she experienced from years of playing an instrument was gone and one of the biggest results she saw was a decrease in her level of performance anxiety. Soon after, Chelsea began to look for yoga studios to practice at and found MBody Yoga. From the moment she walked in the door, she felt like she had found her yoga home. It was the community, something she had never experienced before anywhere else, that kept her coming back for more. Two months later Chelsea signed up for Mark White’s teacher training program at MBody Yoga. Through her practice and Mark’s training, Chelsea discovered her passion to teach. She knew she had to reach as many people as possible through yoga. Not only did she discover her passion for it, but she gained self-confidence and learned what it means to be a leader in her community. Chelsea has been teaching for over two years at MBody and with her mission to bring yoga to everyone, is involved with the Jacksonville community as much as possible. She has taught yoga at drug rehabilitation centers and senior chair yoga at a local community center. Currently, she teaches a Multiple Sclerosis yoga class through oMS Yoga at MBody. She also teaches at the PACE Center for Girls through an amazing organization called Yoga 4 Change. Chelsea holds her 200-hour certification with MBody Yoga, a Yin Yoga certification and has completed Baron Baptiste’s Level One training in Catskills, New York. Her next goal is to become Baptiste certified. Whenever Chelsea is not on her mat or teaching, she enjoys being outdoors and is a big animal lover with one dog, three cats and a turtle at home!

I began practicing yoga when I was 18 as a way to “get skinny.” I was viewing my body, my life and my practice as something that was “not good enough” and needed to be “fixed.” I enrolled in teacher training as a way to better my physical practice on my mat, but what I ended up learning is how I was showing up off my mat. I had been showing up in all of my relationships with this lie of “I’m not good enough.” I was hiding my own greatness and I didn’t even know it. My yoga practice has given me the confidence to own my power, even at the young age of 23. My goal as a teacher is to hold space for students to show up on their mat and see what happens when they try on something new. My classes will leave you feeling seen, empowered and excited about your next step. When I’m not in the yoga studio, I’m working as an Accountant in my family business, spending time with my younger brother, CrossFitting, drinking Starbucks or giggling over silly cat videos.
