Pregnancy is an exciting time for a woman, and it must be approached with care and love. Practicing prenatal yoga provides an expectant mother with an opportunity for deep connection with her unborn child. Other benefits of prenatal yoga include improved sleep, diminished levels of stress and anxiety, increased strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth, and decreased lower back pain, nausea, headaches and shortness of breath.
During this 3-hour workshop, you will learn about these proven benefits of prenatal yoga, as well as how to safely feel empowered on and off your mat during your pregnancy, labor and delivery. Stacy will teach you how to safely modify your practice to avoid contraindications and will lead you through a prenatal yoga practice along with a mother’s mindfulness meditation. Enjoy brief presentations by a certified doula and a chiropractor that specializes in pediatric, prenatal and wellness care.
